Hi, I'm Oriana Campbell, and I'm thrilled to share my journey with you today. As a 30( something) year-old black woman who ventured into entrepreneurship early on at the age of 16, I've seen firsthand the transformative power of Women in Entrepreneurship Expos. My personal journey led me to create the SIS Expo, a platform dedicated to fostering innovation and connection among women entrepreneurs. Today, I want to highlight how these expos are not just events, but vital hubs that propel our communities forward.
My entrepreneurial journey began out of necessity. I had to find a way to support my family, and traditional routes weren't cutting it. I dived headfirst into entrepreneurship, facing countless challenges and learning valuable lessons along the way. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. This path taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of community.
The idea for the SIS Expo came from my own experiences. I realized that while there are many talented women entrepreneurs, they often lack the resources, support, and networks needed to thrive. I wanted to create a space where women could come together, share ideas, and build meaningful connections. Thus, the SIS Expo was born.
